Wanted: Befriending Volunteers

We are looking friendly people who are good listeners, aged over 18 and can spare an hour or so a week in their local area.

Working with Equality Together as a part of our new befriending project, we will be offering face to face befriending.

Befriending can help people in need, reduce isolation and reduce the risk of people needing to access services that may have longer wait times. Listening, lending an ear, going for a walk can do more than just improve loneliness, it can have positive effects on physical health as well.

If you would rather engage in phone or digital befriending, you will have the opportunity to work alongside one of the other befriending networks organisations.

All members receive on-going support, from the coordinator, plus invitations to events and training opportunities.

Please get in touch with Rochyne if you would like to have a chat! Rochynem@equalitytogether.org.uk / 01274 594 173
