How to engage with disabled people

West Yorkshire Combined Authority are working on improving how they engage with people with physical disabilities. We will work together to run a series of workshops looking at what good engagement looks like, as well as what barriers to engagement people face.

Mark Nicholson, Chief Executive Officer at Equality Together said:

By working with Equality Together, a Disabled People’s Organisation, West Yorkshire Combined Authority have demonstrated their commitment to ensuring that disabled people’s voices are not only heard but help to shape the project from the outset.”

The workshops, which run between 12.30 and 3pm, will explore what makes a positive engagement session, as well as looking at the barriers people with physical disabilities face when taking part with engagement sessions.

People are able to book a place on the workshops on Monday 14th September at Mayfield Centre, BD4, or Wednesday 16th September at Central Hall in Keighley. The booking is online www.tinyurl.com/et-wyca
