When more appropriate we will signpost you to an organisation who specialise in your disability or long-term condition.

Sensory Needs Equipment Advice

Can’t hear when someone visits? We have a wide range of wire-free, flashing, extra loud doorbells that alert you when somebody is at the door.

Is your television volume on loud? Ask for a demonstration of a wire-free pocket size personal listener to enhance the volume and clarity of conversations and reduce background noise.

Our Sensory Needs worker Debi Wilson (hearing impaired) is available for demonstration of equipment, support & guidance relating to hearing or sight loss.

You can make an appointment at Manningham Mills Community Centre on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am to 3pm.

We offer appointments in a quiet room with little noise.

You can call Debi Wilson on 01274 594173 or email dwilson@equalitytogether.org.uk

If you are concerned about hearing loss, then please get in touch with Debi. She is more than happy to discuss your concerns.

Hire Charges

The hire charges can be paid by credit or debit card and are as follows.

  • £5 per day hire charge
  • £20 per week hire charge
  • £50 refundable deposit

Many of the products that we have on sale are also available to hire through our equipment hire service. We realise that from time to time, certain equipment and aids are only needed on a short term basis for a number of different reasons, so this service is ideal for when a short term solution is more practical.

Gadget Roadshows

The Gadget Roadshow is a workshop designed for groups of disabled people, their carers and any family or friends who wish to come along to test products.

Roadshows must be booked in advance. We will attend at a venue of your choice and give a full demonstration, information and advice on the types of equipment available for use and the benefits that the equipment may have.

The roadshow can be centered around any disability, either mental, physical or sensory needs, and is a great chance to see and learn about new and improved equipment that is available.

The Gadget Roadshow is a free service and is only available by request. Please contact us on 01274 594173.

Information Sheets

A factsheet will give you basic information on equipment which will assist you in making an informed decision about what may help you remain independent longer.

These are meant as a guide only and we recommend that if you are unsure at all you request an assessment by an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist.
