Live Well and Safe Bradford
Live Well & Safe is a community-based project which will help you to remain in your own home, independent and living well for as long as possible.
Our staff will offer impartial advice to help you make informed decisions about lifestyle changes and equipment that will best suit your individual needs. They will tell you how to go about getting the equipment you need.
You may have to buy your equipment, or you may be advised to contact other services to borrow the equipment.
We have an equipment shop and demonstration space and we have wheelchairs for short-term hire.
When more appropriate, we will signpost you to an organisation who specialise in your disability or long-term condition.
The Live Well and Safe service is open Monday to Friday, 10.00 to 3.00.
Do drop in for a quick chat or if you want confidential time to discuss your needs, please book an appointment. To book an appointment call 01274 594173, Option 3.

Sensory Needs Equipment Advice
Can’t hear when someone visits? We have a wide range of wire-free, flashing, extra loud doorbells that alert you when somebody is at the door.
Is your television volume on loud? Ask for a demonstration of a wire-free pocket size personal listener to enhance the volume and clarity of conversations and reduce background noise.
Our Sensory Needs worker, Debi Wilson (who is herself hearing impaired), is available for demonstration of equipment, support & guidance relating to hearing or sight loss.
You can make an appointment at Manningham Mills Community Centre on Wednesdays, Thursday or Friday from 9.30am to 3pm.
We offer appointments in a quiet room with little noise.
You can leave a message for Debi Wilson on 01274 594173 or email dwilson@equalitytogether.org.uk . If you prefer to text, you can text her on 07958 029 181.
If you are concerned about hearing loss, then please get in touch with Debi. She is more than happy to discuss your concerns.

Gadget Roadshows
Our Gadget Roadshows provide community groups the opportunity to watch demonstrations and try out equipment, for example jar openers, long handled shoehorns or sock aids, which support activities of daily living.
Often people purchase items online and then find they can’t use them, therefore wasting their money. This could put people off trying something different.
At our Gadget Roadshows, our demonstrator will bring along a selection of small aids, which group members can handle and have a go at using themselves.
There is also the opportunity to purchase the items demonstrated.
If a Gadget Roadshow is of interest to your group, please contact Live Well and Safe on 01274 594173, option 3.
