Interested in Volunteering?

Volunteers contribute to the work of Equality Together in a number of ways and help us to deliver much needed services to the local community.

All our volunteers receive basic training. This is an introduction to the organisation and covers equality and diversity, welfare rights awareness, communication skills, and how to use our systems. This means that everyone has a better understanding of how we work and what we do.

Why Volunteer?

There are a number of reasons why you may wish to volunteer – to learn new skills, to share your experience, to make a difference to the community or simply to meet new and interesting people while you work. So if you are interested in the work that we do and think you can make a contribution, we want to hear from you.

We currently have the following opportunities available within our organisation:

  • Independent Living Centre Assistants
  • Admin & Reception
  • Gadget Roadshow Assistants
  • Event Assistants
  • Trip & Activity Buddies
  • Fundraisers
  • 1-2-1 Self Advocates (Peer Support)

Interested in becoming a volunteer? Please speak with Jane Wheildon, who works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on 01274 594173.
